Annemarie Hursh
Training your pet is not about tough love or who is top dog. As a dedicated Dog Trainer based in Appomattox, VA, I’ve been training animals since 1999. Member of IACP, AKC Evaluator, Companion Pets and hours of attending educational studies with top class trainers. Over the years I have developed a method of training animals that is not about force or treat based, it's setting the dog up to succeed and have a clear understanding of what's expected through my balanced approach. I'm considered a balanced trainer. I use positive and negative reinforcement so the picture is 100% clear to the dog. So put that dog whistle down, and give me a call today.

Board and Train
Personalized and Professional
Amhursh K9 offers 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 week programs. It all depends on your goals, needs, severity of behavioral problems and Service dog training. Offer support to all your training for your dogs entire life. Follow up lessons monthly for a year is included. All dogs are kept in the home of the trainer. Not sitting in kennels. All training packages are personalized plans to fit your dog's needs and your lifestyle.
Boarding
Doggie Vacation
Boarding is provided in the safety and comfort of the trainers home. Walked 4 times daily, fed on your dogs schedule, play time with trainer, free go home bath, meds administered, transport, taken to vet or grooming appointments as well. All boarding is customizable.
Private Lessons
Your companion will thank you.
Private lessons are done in the privacy of your home or my facility. I work closely with each one of my clients and their companions to implement my proven problem solving process. I know you have a busy schedule, so I will customize a plan that suits your lifestyle.
Dog Walking
Accommodating Your Lifestyle
My Dog Walking offers personalized adventures. All dogs receive training while with a trainer during their potty time. This way your dog stays on top of their training that you've put so much into. Did you know months of training can be damaged in just 1 bad session? Unfortunately that is common for strictly dog walking services as they do not have professional handling or behavioral skills with dog's. Behavior Consulting
Time for a change
If your animal needs help with a specific physical or behavioral issue, Behavior Consulting with Amhursh K9 may be a great option for you. Sessions can be done at our training facility or in your home, with personalized plans to fit your pet’s needs and your lifestyle. Behavior modification is our specialty. All behavioral modification evaluations are $25.
